By utilizing Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology, it transmits and receives optical signals over a single strand of Single Mode Fiber (SMF), effectively reducing fiber infrastructure costs.
The module operates over a transmission distance of up to 10km and uses a Simplex LC optical connector. It is available in complementary wavelength pairs, typically TX1270nm/RX1330nm and TX1330nm/RX1270nm, which must be deployed in matched pairs for proper bidirectional communication.
Featuring a standard hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor, the module integrates a high-performance DFB laser transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver, delivering stable optical performance, low power consumption, and reliable 10Gbps Ethernet connectivity.
Optional Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) provides real-time monitoring of module temperature, voltage, transmit power, receive power, and laser bias current, making network management easier and more efficient.
