Security requirements for access to the ONT management interface and settings
1. The equipment has two levels of access to the ONT management interface, the level of a regular user and an extended user (administrator)
2. Users have different levels of administrative management and corresponding restrictions
3. Access to the management interface is password protected
4. It is possible to change user passwords in accordance with the security policy of the administrative management levels
5. Changing the password of the extended user should be performed only at the administrator level
6. All passwords are protected from being opened by various developer tools.
7. Remote access via WAN interfaces to ONT via web/ssh/telnet/ftp protocols and through ports 80/8080/443 is closed by default.
8. On the ONT client side, there is no way to enable remote access via the WAN interface.
9. Remote access to ONT via the WAN interface is activated from OLT (via OMCI protocol) or from the GPON control system. Remote access must have a time limit with automatic shutdown after a specified period of time.
